Art Affairs congratulates the nestor of Czech systematic art, Zdenek Sykora, who will turn 90 on February 3, 2010.

As early as 1964, Sykora made computer-assisted structural paintings, which were shown in many group shows, such as 'New Realities of Czechoslovak Contemporary Art' in Italy, Germany and Yugoslavia a.o. as of 1965.

In the Netherlands, Sykora first showed at Symposion Gorinchem 1974, followed by a solo exhibition in the former Badhuis of the same town. Ever since, we have presented him internationally and his work can be found in major collections throughout the world.

To celebrate the event, Art Affairs is showing a collection of recent graphic works, running from February 5-28.

Concurrently, the City Gallery of Prague also shows a major body of his work, as from February 19-May 2, 2010.
